“I think each project has a specific set of fires that will come up throughout every step of the process, whether that be in development, pre-production, production, and post-production, even sometimes to the screenings,” Milroy reflects. “Filmmaking is a lot of compromising and sacrifice, as well as continuing to learn what are things to never back down from artistically and what are things to compromise on to see the film being made. Learning what it is in the project that is important to you and learning what is something that you would be able to let go of.”
