With NSA, I wanted to bridge that gap, leveraging my background to create a company that would excel in forming meaningful strategic partnerships and producing real outcomes for our clients.

NSA has managed over 1,100 projects for high-profile clients. What’s the key to building such successful strategic partnerships?

The key to building successful strategic partnerships lies in mutual respect, clear communication, and a deep understanding of each partner’s goals and challenges. At NSA, we focus on aligning our strategies with our clients’ objectives, ensuring that every partnership we form is purposeful and results-oriented. Our approach is to listen actively, adapt our strategies to meet the dynamic needs of our clients, and always deliver more than expected.

Before NSA, you played significant roles in various organizations. How have these experiences influenced your approach to leadership and business development?

Each role I’ve held before founding NSA has contributed to my approach to leadership and business development in its own way. From driving community engagement strategies geared towards the Hispanic market at Rose Hills to leading business development at Cordea Consulting and fostering corporate relations at Pepperdine University, I’ve learned the importance of adaptability, innovation, and focusing on building long-term relationships. These experiences have taught me to lead with empathy, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence.

As a Board Member of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation and a State Commissioner to the California Employment Training Panel, how do you approach your role in supporting job creation and training?

In both roles, I approach my responsibilities with a focus on impact, equity, and sustainability. Supporting job creation and training is about understanding the workforce’s evolving needs and the barriers to employment that many face. My goal is to leverage these platforms to advocate for policies and programs that not only create jobs but also ensure those jobs are accessible and provide meaningful opportunities for skill development, particularly in underserved communities.

With your extensive background in business development and strategic partnerships, what advice would you give to emerging leaders aiming to make a positive impact in their communities?

My advice to emerging leaders would be to focus on building genuine relationships, stay committed to learning and adapting, and never underestimate the power of listening to the communities you aim to serve.
