For independent artists, recognition rarely arrives overnight. For Ohio husband-and-wife duo Eleyet McConnell, 2026 is beginning to look like the year all of that persistence became impossible to overlook.

Angie and Chris McConnell have earned seven nominations at the 2026 Josie Music Awards, an extraordinary showing that reaches across virtually every facet of their creative partnership.
