Real estate entrepreneur Anthony Beverley now travels in his private jets, owns luxury automobiles such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, and Lamborghini, and splits his time between his homes in the East and West coasts. He has successfully sold over a hundred homes in the Philadelphia area and is currently involved in multiple community-impacting real estate projects.
However, this was not always the case.
Anthony Beverley started from the bottom. He was not born with a silver spoon. He started out living the street life, a lifestyle he is very proud of giving up. In his youth, Beverley spent his time learning from his real estate-driven grandfather, whom he used to trail along with in his business encounters. Years later, Anthony was trained by doctor-turned-developer Joe Williams, who was also his godfather. With the help of these people, and his determination to get an education, Beverley was able to turn his life around.
“I planted my seeds, getting educated and surrounding myself around individuals that will all place in your life to have that same drive, motivation, and aim in life. Once I decided to change my life, I went from nothing to something. The main thing is I never gave up, not one time. I’d rather hang in there and keep pushing and pushing and don’t take nothing for granted,” he recalls.
In 2014, Beverley saw things start to come his way. He had been working diligently every single day, doing all he could to learn about the industry and expanding his networks. Soon, as his business grew even more, it hit him that he needed to refocus some commitments in his life. It was then decided to retire early in his street bike racer career and focus more on his health care agency and other real estate developments.
Several years ago, Beverley partnered with champion boxer Floyd Mayweather to work with a sports promotional company called The Money Team (TMT). The entrepreneur is proud to consider himself as an asset in this partnership and is confident this is the case with other companies he works with.
Beverley is also currently working on a project on the Temple University campus where they are building one and two-bedroom spaces with parking areas for the university’s constituents. This project would be creating over 900 jobs while generating revenue for the community which now has a high unemployment rate. With the current state of the world we live in due to the coronavirus, these opportunities are life-saving for many, and Beverley is glad to be involved in such a project.
When asked about his secret to success, Anthony says, plainly, “hard work and faith.” The entrepreneur advocates for the importance of working smart, not harder. Mix this with patience and the right education to develop your expertise and you are sure to succeed, he says. He travels to schools across the country to share this very message to students.
He adds, “success is not measured by money: it’s measured by the things we’ve overcome in life that got us to this point.”
