Tell us your name and a little about yourself.
My name is Adanna Austin and I am a business coach and consultant and I work with entrepreneurs to get very clear on their goals, identify their ideal clients, and develop strategies to grow their business. I am from the Twin Island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
I have been a coach since 2015 and I have an active Facebook group called Dynamic Business Strategist with over 4000 entrepreneurs who share and actively learn from each other daily.
I host yearly masterminds and training for my audience and I would love to spread my message of how to develop and grow your business.
What exactly does your company do?
My company offers a mix of training for my audience from 1 on 1 to group and mastermind training and we focus on helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses strategically using a combination of Marketing and PR.
What were the biggest challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?
My biggest challenge was leaving my corporate job of almost 9 years to start this coaching business full time. I became really depressed and that propelled me to make the decision to step out on my own. But it was not easy.
I hired my own coach and have hired many coaches since then who have all helped me in different ways. Specifically in dealing with my mindset around success and money and providing me with the tools to elevate my own success.
What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?
I wish someone had spoken to me about the importance of a success mindset. Not just about being positive because that is only part of the journey. But believing that I am deserving of everything I desire and more and that journey starts with what I believe and think about myself and my abilities.
Who are your biggest influences and people you admire and why?
There are a ton of people that I admire and who have influenced my success. My mother and brother come first to mind because they always support my ideas no matter how crazy. And online I have a few people who I follow and engage with who have continuously guided me on this journey. They include Nicole Walters and Bebe Robinson of Cayden Cay Consulting. I admire them because they have walked this path already and they are not afraid to be true and authentic and share their knowledge with those of us still growing.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are?
There are many people who I am grateful for and I have been fortunate to build a really solid team around my business over the last 5 years. But my mother I would say has to be the person I am most grateful for because she plays an active role in all of my businesses. She is my personal assistant and she helps me to brainstorm my ideas. We have another business that we run together so it helps that we have similar visions and goals and an unstoppable drive to succeed.
What do you see as your greatest success in life?
So far my greatest success has been going full time in the business and being able to help over 500 entrepreneurs every year! This has been a life long dream of mine and I am happy and fortunate to be able to live it out.
