Movers and Shakers Interview with Carly-Ann Dell

Tell us your name and a little about yourself.

My name is Carly-Ann Dell and I am a health and wellness enthusiast who dropped out of great school to travel the world and find my real passion and desire for helping others. I am from a small town about an hour north of Seattle where I live with my husband and our two mini Goldendoodle.

What exactly does your company do?

My company and I help encourage women to create a healthy lifestyle that is sustainable and maintainable while also appreciate that things are somewhat of a hot mess at times!

What were the biggest challenges you have faced and how did you overcome them?

I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 19 years old. I let it define me and dictate the direction of my life for far too long. I eventually realized I was so much more than the disease and started to live my life according to my own goals and dreams.

What piece of advice do you wish someone had given you at the start of your career?

Always be yourself. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable but also don’t make yourself the victim of the story. Trends will come and go and if you conform to them, you will lose sight of who YOU are as well as your own story.

Who are your biggest influences and people you admire and why?

My biggest influence on my own health and fitness journey is my dad. He pushes me in a way that he doesn’t even know. He has always been a role model with his goals and dreams for himself both personally and professionally and while they are hard standards to live up to, I wouldn’t be who I am without him. Other than my dad, my husband truly encourages me to be the best version of myself. He doesn’t even realize it but he has more of an impact on me than the thousands of individuals I follow on social media.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are?

I think again both my husband and then my parents. My husband supports me and encourages me to follow my dreams whether he fully understands them or not. As for my parents, they have helped us financially when we had absolutely no direction in life. Without their emotional AND financial support, it would be very hard to be where I am at right now.

What do you see as your greatest success in life?

The journey to finding my true self – it’s an ever-evolving journey but once you can stand on your own two feet as an individual, it’s pretty empowering. I now get to share myself and my story with thousands of women and be vulnerable and to see how that impacts them truly is life-changing.
